STEC,
with the help of SASC, has successfully negotiated with Pearson to change the
qualifications code for WIAT®-III UK
to align it more closely to the qualification levels required for this test in
USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. From June 2021 WIAT®-III
UK's qualification level has changed to CL2R: At present CL2R requires the assessor to have qualified
teacher status, so WIAT®-III UK
may not be available to all Specialist Teachers with APCs. However, this is a
temporary problem as in November 2021 Pearson will be adopting the ABC system
used by branches of Pearson in USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. An explanation of this new system can be
found on Pearson's website at https://www.pearsonclinical.co.uk/information/QualificationCodes.aspx
Qualification Level CL2 / Qualification Level CL2R
(From November 2021, these levels will be combined and known as
Qualification Level B)
