SpLD APC awarding bodies

Specialist Teachers

There are currently 3 awarding bodies for SpLD Assessment Practising Certificates for specialist teachers.

Assessment Practising Certificates have a currency of 3 years. After that time practitioners need to update their Certificates by providing evidence of relevant CPD.

Each professional body has its own systems for awarding practising certificates and maintaining skills and knowlege through continuing professional development to keep practice up-to-date. The process is overseen by SASC for quality assurance.
