SASC Stakeholder Conference
CPD providers can now become SASC authorised and have their CPD provision listed on the new SASC website.
In recent years the demand for diagnostic assessments of specific learning difficulties has grown considerably. Many specialist assessors who are engaged in tis work are required to hold an Assessment Practising Certificate which must be renewed every three years. Professionals wishing to renew their Assessment Practising Certificate must have a personal record of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to show how they are keeping their assessment knowledge, understanding and skills up to date. From 2012 there is a new requirement that a minimum of 5 hours of this CPD must be delivered by SASC Authorised Providers.
This Stakeholder Conference outlined the new Authorisation Scheme and Guidelines to potential providers. There were opportunities for questions and to discuss how SASC can work with you to explore how your training provision might meet the criteria for inclusion on the new website.
